I’m passionate about productions, and building branded events into something exciting and engaging. I love creating concepts in live entertainment and formulating strategies to grow audiences from stage to screens. I have over 15 years of live entertainment experience and industry knowledge to bring to the table making your next event shine.
I’m Matt Denison and I love to build. I’m an LA based production manager at heart that started in live entertainment at 15 years old just to get on stages at festivals to hang audio and build drum risers. I play music, I went to school for recording engineering and music theory, and everything else I learned on the road.
A Washington native I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and worked at concert houses and theaters with traveling productions, and took work freelancing as a tech for bands cutting my teeth and volunteering for local production houses to learn the ins and outs of lighting, staging, audio, and more.
Building staging, rigging, and lighting packages at VIP Entertainment followed between stints on the road and in 2007 I took a permanent job with Bob Marley’s original band “The Wailers”. I have been touring the world pretty much since building shows, working festivals, and dressing up private events on and off the road.
Five years living in San Diego brought me into working with Hollywood Connection, a dance convention production company handling their touring audio and lighting packages on the road.
My main gig has been touring as the Stage Manager for The Wailers (running on over fifteen years now), and when I was off the road I spent my time building a successful vintage rock n’ roll show band called Adventure. Over the last few years, I partnered with some friends in WA creating local festival events for the city core, highlighting rooftop parties at historical venues, a summer concert series, and creating brand forward events showcasing local business, talent, and artists.
Currently I split my time between a busy tour schedule and living abroad in Scotland when not in Los Angeles. This has brought me a better venue to explore work on bigger productions and create better events, both from screen to stage. I dream big, and love to make lasting production impressions while I challenge myself to make every show bigger than the dream it originally was.
